So we have the first black president. I think its cool that we have came to a place in time where a black man can run. But honestly he's white too. He in my view I guess actually represents America his is a melting pot himself. All the different backgrounds, makes him American, and welcome. I'm not saying I agree or don't agree, I'm just glad how far America has come. I'm not much for politics so that's all I have to say about that.

Well homecoming is tomorrow and I am so excited. Dayne and I have almost hit our 1 year anniversary. That makes me excited. I started a college class a couple weeks ago and that is going good. I'm in an accounting class and so far I really like it. Sorry my blog is so short this week.

I had a wonderful day yesterday. I was able to sleep in; until 10:50a.m. It was absolutely amazing. Then I got up, watched a little TV, had breakfast, washed the dishes, and even played some video games.

Empowerment, I'm not going to lie I had to actually look up what that word meant. What I found out was that it means to enable or permit to do something. I thought about it for a minute or two and I decided I can't choose just one piece of technology that "empowers" me, I have a couple. The first one would have to be a pen. When I get a hold of a pen I just want write. It doesn't matter if I have an idea or not. I just have to write something. The other thing or things are my camera and video camera. When one of those falls into my hands I can't help but document my life. I'm all about memories. Whether I wrote then or captured them on some form of media.

OK, this is a little side note: Dayne blew his motor the week of Thanksgiving and he is just now getting it back together. He bought a motor out of a junk yard. Imagine that it was junk! He found that out after he had already had it almost all put back together in the truck. Therefore he had to buy yet another motor, but this time he bought a rebuilt one. Now his truck works, somewhat. Dayne and his dad were putting the final touches on and it blew up (12 foot flames and everything), broke a valve cover and it leaks oil now. Which is ironic because that's what he lacked in the very beginning. In other words, he just didn't put oil in the truck. Needless to say they were about ready to abandon it in a ditch, so they finally took it to a mechanic. We are supposed to be getting it back today in working condition....hopefully! Talk about a month and a half!
